We are pleased to invite you to THONTalks: Human-centric Leadership in the AI Era, taking place in Shanghai on 5 November 2026.

Bringing together perspectives from business, academia and public leadership, THONTalks will explore human-centric leadership from both Nordic and Chinese perspectives — how leaders respond to change, what we can learn from one another, and how people, trust and human judgement can remain at the centre of decision-making.

The evening will open with welcoming remarks from Morten Thorvaldsen, CEO of Thon Hotels, and Marianne H. Hindsgaul, Director of Business Communities, Thon Hotels.

One of the keynote sessions will feature Professor Randi Lunnan of BI Norwegian Business School

Professor Lunnan will explore how organizations can remain flexible under growing uncertainty while maintaining the consistency and long-term commitment needed to build competitive advantage.

The keynotes will be followed by a panel discussion with senior business leaders, moderated by Emma Qu, Director of the BI-Fudan MBA Programme and Professor of Marketing at the School of Management, Fudan University.

Guests can also look forward to music, networking and a special taste of Norway, with a signature finger-food tasting by award-winning chef Aleksander Vartdal, who will lead the kitchen for the Norwegian Seafood Gala the following evening.

The evening will conclude with a lucky draw, including the chance to win an overnight stay at a Thon Hotel.
