We are pleased to invite you to the official release of the Norwegian Business in China Report 2026, which presents the latest insights on Norwegian companies operating in China. The report was commissioned by the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai together with NBA China and developed in cooperation with BI Norwegian Business School.

This edition is the latest update in a series of Norwegian business reports on China, building on previous reports published by Team Norway over the years. It provides a comprehensive overview of Norwegian companies' presence, current state, and outlook in China. Drawing on survey responses from 103 Norwegian companies, the report offers insights into business conditions, investment outlooks, operational challenges, local competition, sustainability priorities, and the evolving role of China in Norwegian companies' global strategies.

The launch event will present the key findings of the report, followed by a panel discussion featuring perspectives from academia, the European Chamber of Commerce, and economic analysis from The Economist. The discussion will explore how the findings reflect broader trends in China's business environment and their implications for Norwegian companies going forward.

Following the presentation and panel discussion, guests are invited to join a reception with dinner, offering an opportunity to continue the conversation in a more informal setting, exchange views with fellow participants, and further discuss the report's findings and their relevance for Norwegian businesses in China.
