We are delighted to invite you to the Norway-China Green Transition & Maritime Forum 2026, to be held on 24 April in Shanghai, as an official side event of Shanghai Climate Week 2026. This year, the Forum will also serve as a special parallel session under Shanghai Climate Week's flagship Climate Lighthouse Awards, with a particular focus on maritime transition. The event is organized in cooperation with the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai, Innovation Norway, Norwegian Business Association China, Climate Lighthouse, and supported by Norwegian Embassy in Beijing and Shanghai Climate Week. It convenes Norwegian, Chinese, and international stakeholders for focused exchange on green transition, with particular emphasis on the maritime sector.

Building on the strong momentum of Norway-China cooperation on sustainability and green development, the Forum aims to provide a high-level platform for dialogue, exchange, and cooperation between Norwegian and Chinese stakeholders. It will bring together representatives from government, industry, and the wider business community to explore how Norwegian and Chinese actors can jointly contribute to climate action and green transition through concrete technologies, solutions, and partnerships.

By combining the broader green transition forum with a dedicated maritime-focused session, the event will offer participants valuable insights into policy and industry developments, showcase concrete company cases and success stories, and highlight how Norwegian and Chinese stakeholders can work together to address climate-related challenges and advance maritime decarbonisation.

As part of Shanghai Climate Week's Climate Lighthouse, an influential platform for climate dialogue and action, the Forum will also be able to leverage the platform's resources and wider ecosystem to expand its outreach to a more professional and relevant audience. This will help connect Norwegian companies with a broader yet more targeted group of stakeholders, while also enabling discussions from a wider range of perspectives and across sectors. In this way, the Forum is intended not only to enhance the visibility of Norwegian green transition technologies, competence, and experience, but also to create more meaningful opportunities for dialogue, connection, and future cooperation.

Following the Forum, guests will be warmly invited to join a networking reception, offering further opportunities for exchange and relationship-building in an informal setting.
