China's objectives toward Paris agreement remains firm despite the COVID-19 global crises. A sharper focus on ecological protection and environmental conservation have an influence on a broad range of policies and investments.

In an address to the United Nations General Assembly delivered remotely, Xi described the Paris Agreement on climate change as charting "the course for the world to transition to green and low-carbon development."
