Joshua Morris is the founder and CEO of The Progression Group, a multicultural organization dedicated to helping individuals, communities, and organizations reach their highest potential through transformational experiences grounded in personal growth, meaningful connection, and shared purpose. An entrepreneur and expert in intercultural effectiveness, Josh has been based in Thailand since 1999.
His two decades of experience in cross-cultural leadership, business development, and expeditionary caving prepared him for a pivotal role during the 2018 Thai Cave Rescue, where he served as the international team coordinator . Working alongside Thai authorities, foreign dive teams, and military leadership, Josh helped bridge communication, cultural understanding, and operational coordination in one of the most complex rescue efforts in recent history.
Josh partners with businesses, NGOs, and government agencies to design programs that build sustainable futures through education, leadership development, business strategy, and cross-cultural communication. He delivers training across Asia and has facilitated programs in the U.S., Australia, and beyond. As an advisor to Thailand’s National Cave Committee, he also contributes to policy development around cave management and tourism.
Fluent in English and Thai, Josh is known for his ability to bridge organizational and cultural divides. He fosters high-performing teams through shared experience, honest reflection, and clear intention. He lives in Chiang Mai with his wife and two daughters, and continues to design experiences that help people step forward—especially when the path ahead is uncertain.
