Team Norway are pleased to announce the Norwegian Green Transition Forum during Shanghai Climate Week 2026, to be held on 24 April 2026 in Shanghai.
This year, the Forum is supported by Shanghai Climate Week Executive Committee and closely linked to SCW's flagship Climate Lighthouse Awards—an award programme showcasing exemplary green and low-carbon technologies and solutions across Buildings, Campuses, Manufacturing, Supply Chains, and Innovation.
Shanghai Climate Week is a high-level, high-influence platform for climate action in Asia, bringing together stakeholders from government, academia, business, and international organisations to advance international collaboration and practical low-carbon solutions. It has explicitly set the ambition to become an "Asian symbol" for climate action, comparable to climate weeks in London, New York, and Paris, and to serve as "the climate action of Asia."
By collaborating with such an influential platform, this initiative aims to promote Norwegian green transition technologies and competence to key Chinese stakeholders while creating concrete business-enabling opportunities for Norwegian companies in China. Participating companies will gain a strong combination of visibility, recognition, and targeted networking—showcasing best practices and green ambitions, meeting potential partners, and strengthening Norway's position as a trusted long-term partner for China's green and low-carbon development.
We are therefore now calling for Norwegian companies to participate by submitting green transition cases.
Climate Lighthouse Awards & Norwegian Green Transition Forum
What is the programme and how it works?
The programme will be delivered in TWO interconnected parts:
Step 1 — Submit your case to the SCW Climate Lighthouse Awards
Norwegian companies are invited to submit cases that illustrate their green ambitions and best practices in decarbonisation and climate solutions. Shanghai Climate Week will assess applications and recognise outstanding cases through the Climate Lighthouse Awards. Selected companies will benefit from high-profile exposure through the Climate Lighthouse case release and award ceremony.
Award-winning companies will also be invited to join the SCW Climate Lighthouse Outreach Series, including roadshows in different parts of China and selected locations in Asia—featuring business-enabling sessions and matchmaking with key stakeholders in SCW's network, such as government bodies, shipyards, and other industrial partners.
Step 2 — Present your innovation at the Norwegian Green Transition Forum in Shanghai - 24 April
During Shanghai Climate Week, Team Norway will organise the Norwegian Green Transition Forum as a structured arena where Norwegian solutions and experience are presented alongside Chinese policy priorities and market needs.
Companies that submit a Climate Lighthouse case will receive priority to present their green ambition and concrete case/innovation at the Forum. Chinese counterparts and relevant officials will be invited to share policy developments and identify potential areas for cooperation—building a strong basis for follow-up dialogue and collaboration.
Value for participating companies
- Showcase concrete green transition cases on a high-profile platform during Shanghai Climate Week, and gain recognition through the Climate Lighthouse Awards and case release.
- Access SCW's outreach activities and roadshows across China and selected Asian regions, including business-enabling sessions and matchmaking with relevant stakeholders in SCW's network.
- Present solutions at the Norwegian Green Transition Forum on 24 April and meet potential partners.

Participation in both the Climate Lighthouse Award and the Norwegian Green Transition Forum is free of charge.
Results announcement: The Climate Lighthouse Awards results will be announced in April 2026.
Please note:
- Use cases must be based on real application scenarios, and the actual benefits should be described in detail.
- Applicants may submit multiple use cases to increase the probability of selection.
- Supporting materials (e.g., other awards, media links, publications in international journals, etc.) may be included to strengthen the application.
