Chris Tao, the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Microsoft Greater China Region (GCR), is responsible for end-to-end accountability for Microsoft cloud business growth in Greater China Region, across sales enablement and operations, business development, and long-term business strategy, leading Microsoft cloud business products to deliver trusted, effective, innovative, and sustainable enterprise cloud services to drive digitization and transformation across GCR region in this AI era.
Chris Tao has been with Microsoft for 17 years, with rich field experiences across enterprise solution sales, consulting and management experiences across China, US and Canada market. Before relocating to Microsoft GCR region in 2019, Chris Tao was Client Tech Strategy Lead covering US PacWest High-Tech and Retail industry to drive cloud strategy and adoption landing with Top 10 Fortune 500 accounts. Before US, Chris was the Client Strategist Lead covering Western Canada Enterprise market to drive cloud and digital transformation. Chris also has rich experiences in China market, where he covered China market MNC, Government, Auto, Retail industry solution sales and consulting business for more than 10 years. Chris was part of Microsoft R&D division and contributed to various product shipping including Office, Dynamics CRM, Speech Server, SQL Server etc.
Besides Microsoft, Chris is also part time instructor at University of British Columbia Sauder Business School, also served as part-time coach in startup incubators in Seattle and Vancouver.

Mr. Per Askeland is Regional Manager for DNV’s Global Shared Services unit covering the North Asia area. Based on  a career within DNV, basically within Finance and Administration; Per has an extensive international experience, involved in building the  company’s Research and Innovation unit and was DNV’s Controller for the Group Units prior to relocating to Shanghai. Educational background from BI, Norway with additional studies at INSEAD. Representing DNV, Per has been a Board Member of NBA in 3 previous periods, and DNV is now seeking to take a more active role in the involvement of the organisation. DNV came to China 135 years ago and is a trusted voice amongst our stakeholders – including the Norwegian industry and authorities. As such we do hope to be an active contributor to NBA’s further development – in a post-Covid period.

Bård is a Senior Lawyer at the Shanghai office of the international law firm Wikborg Rein. He is dual
qualified as a Norwegian Advokat and a Solicitor of England & Wales with a practice focused on Shipping

Offshore, and with an academic background from the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law. He
regularly assists clients with cross border disputes, negotiating and drafting complex contracts and
project due diligence, and also advises international companies with a presence in China regarding their international operations.

Michael Chen is the Director of the Artificial Intelligence Research Center at DNV Group Research & Development.

He has over 20 years of experience in the digital industry, including software development, large enterprise software implementation, consultancy, innovation, and research.

Michael's team focuses on AI and smart industry technologies to develop cutting-edge AI solutions and understand the regulation and assurance of AI to ensure trustworthiness.

As the Director of AIRC, Michael oversees research projects and collaborates with industry and academia worldwide to drive innovation and stay ahead of the curve in the field of assurance of AI.
Michael is passionate about AI and is always on the lookout for new ideas and innovations to drive the future of digital assurance.

Kelly Xie is Head of Tomra sorting Recycling China.
With 10 years of experience in the recycling business, Kelly has an in-depth understanding and knowledge of China's waste management and waste value chain, helping to transform and upgrade China's plastic recycling industry from a degradable use to a circular economy that realizes value from waste. Her pervious roles include Philips lighting and MRT, from lighting to Solar industries.

TOMRA was founded in 1972, based on the design, manufacturing and sale of reverse vending machines (RVMs) for automated collection of used beverage containers. Today TOMRA provides solutions that enable the circular economy with advanced collection and sorting systems, and food processing by employing sensor-based sorting and grading technology.
Kelly holds an MBA of BI Norwegian business school.

Sharie Sha has over 15 years of experience in branding, marketing, and communications across various industries, including the medical/healthcare, energy, and agriculture sectors in Greater China and the APAC region.

As the Marketing Director, Sharie's areas of focus include strategic marketing, branding, marketing intelligence, retail partnership programs, media engagement, and internal communications. She and her team actively work to promote the Yara brand and solutions, as well as establish Yara's thought leadership in the food and agriculture industry.

Sharie holds an MBA degree from the Fudan-BI program, a master's degree from Macquarie University in Australia, and a bachelor's degree in bio-tech from Beijing Normal University in China.
