We are pleased to invite you to the seminar "Norway as a Brand: Navigating Complexity Through Responsible Leadership," jointly organised by the BI Norwegian Business School and Norwegian Business Association China.

The event marks the first session in the "Norway as a Brand" series, initiated by BI Norwegian Business School and NBA China. Norway is widely associated with quality, sustainability, innovation, trust and responsible business conduct. The series will explore how these values, together with Norway's distinctive business culture and areas of strength, can contribute to a clearer and more differentiated position in the Chinese market.

This first seminar will focus on leadership and examine how these qualities are reflected in organisational decision-making, leadership behaviour and long-term value creation. In today's increasingly complex business environment, leadership is not only about driving growth and delivering financial results. Leaders must also navigate situations where commercial priorities may not fully align with employee well-being, sustainability, stakeholder expectations and long-term trust.

The session will explore responsible leadership as an organisational ecosystem grounded in sound decision-making, trust and shared values. It will also examine inclusive leadership in global organisations, including how leaders can recognise diversity, foster inclusion and translate leadership principles into practical action.

A panel discussion will bring together perspectives from academia and industry to explore how responsible leadership is applied across different business contexts. The panelists will share insights from a range of perspectives, including leadership in the AI era, Norwegian leadership values, digitalisation, local empowerment, and how solutions and practices developed in China can contribute to global innovation.
