Against the backdrop of accelerating global green transition and sustainable development, Norway has long placed green development and environmental governance among its national priorities. The country has accumulated extensive experience in areas such as circular economy, resource utilization, and environmental technologies.

Norway and China have maintained stable cooperation in the fields of environmental protection and climate. During the Norwegian Prime Minister's visit to China in 2024, the leaders of the two countries reached important consensus on a dialogue mechanism for green transition and climate cooperation, providing clear direction for deepening practical cooperation in low-carbon development and environmental technologies.

Within this framework, mature Norwegian solutions in sludge treatment, resource recovery, and process optimization can provide useful references for China as it advances its green and low-carbon transition and works toward its "dual carbon" goals.

The 24th China International Environmental Protection Exhibition will be held from 2–4 June 2026 at the China International Exhibition Center, Chaoyang Hall, Beijing. Taking this important platform as an opportunity, the Norway–China Environmental Protection and Green Solutions Exchange Meeting will bring together representatives from Chinese and Norwegian government bodies, industry associations, and companies to share practical experience and promote exchange and cooperation.
